Things are a bit quiet this week, given the upcoming Thanksgiving break as well as the final week of classes. Thus, a mostly On the Horizon update this time around.

The so-called "Bible of Fashion," Women's Wear Daily, featured Paka, founded by Kris Cody, and the company's new line of eco-friendly, alpaca wool-powered activewear, Breathe.
Fermata Energy, co-founded by David Slutzky and John Wheeler, was selected to join the first cohort of Ford Motor Company's Mobility Studio. Fermata has developed a novel solution for turning electric vehicles into energy storage assets.
Poets & Quants featured Marc-Anthony Larco, founder of Tech for Underprivileged Children, as one of the most disruptive business school startups of 2021 for the startups efforts to build computer labs in Larco's home country, Haiti.
Uplyft, founded by Craig Misrach, took second place in the Worldwide Unicorn Cup Finals for the company's novel seated self transfer system for those needing help moving from wheelchair to bed.
